I"m not sure what's worse. Joining a cosplay group or going to Long John Silvers. Both are terrible life choices.

by sp74bb ini'm quite surprised about the new approach of some local congregation brothers respect about my fade.... funny, ilegal and very dangerous in view of the different laws regarding personal data and minorities in spain and in the eu.... i already organized a press meeting with main newspapers in spain.
many has shown interest in this situation.
the fact of that a parallel judicial system do exist is amazing them.

Yeah what Freddo said. If there's only one witness to anything you said or did, just deny deny deny. They can't do shit. That's what the pedophile elders have done for years, and it's worked wonders for them.

That reminds me, what's John Larson up to these days? For a while he seemed to be the public face of the WT. I haven't heard a peep from him in a while.

my favorite is the old quote that says something like 'negroes make the best house servants.'

Cold war on homefront!
by LifesNotOver ina few months back i let it be known to my husband that i was no longer interested in anything jw related.
when he took it to the elders, without actually divulging anything that might get me disfellowshipped like apostasy - well, he just basically told them i was all depressed and discouraged and everything and that i didn't want to be contacted by the elders about it.
i don't know what he actually told them, word for word, or what they actually said to him word for word, but he told me they told him not to do anything spiritual with me at home anymore - no bible study, praying, daily text, meetings via phone, jw broadcasting, discussions, etc.

yeah he's full of shit about either what he told them or what they told him. He could be full of it for both those too lol

I think we are being shunned
by Tallon ini have not read all the discussions about the recent regional convention where the org is now ramping up the diabolical act of shunning.
i am not sure as to which ‘category’ of persons it now applies.. my wife and i have faded over the past couple of years.
our book-study conductor used to drop by to give us the magazines.

There's a witness family that lives a couple minutes away from me. They are pretty close with my parents. My wife ran into them at the grocery store yesterday and they were buying a bunch of stuff for a cook-out this weekend. They didn't invite us over or anything. I probably would have gone because I won't turn down free food. I don't really mind they didn't invite me, however, what really gets me is this: If I went to the Kingdom Hall on Sunday morning, they'd love bomb me and say how much they miss me and how good it is to see me and all that crap. Well if they miss me that much, why the hell don't they reach out to me. The truth is they don't miss me, they just go into the usual routine when an inactive one comes to the meetings and they say all the stuff they are supposed to say.

I was always under the impression that JWs couldn't join AA because of its origins in 'false religion'

From what I can tell in that letter, if they go through the LDC (RBC) they have to use those 2 different sets. If they get approval to buy locally, I guess they can buy whatever they want.
I'm curious about the actual make and models of TVs. I do some AV stuff for work and some of those larger displays CAN get expensive depending on the brand. Same with the other equipment. Without knowing that info, I can't really say if the congregations are getting hosed on those price tags.

CLAM Video: Aug 22-28 2016 – “Jehovah Will Care for Our Needs”
by Nicholaus Kopernicus inthis video showed a married brother with three children living in a nice domicile and working full time.
his employer demands that he change his working pattern such that it conflicts with his being able to attend wt meetings at the weekend.
the brother decides not to yield to his employer’s demand and is thus dismissed.. the brother seeks for work very actively over a significant period but without any alternative being found.

When my wife (who is still not awake yet, dammit) was a kid, their house burned down. NO ONE from the congregation did a fucking thing to help.

Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?
by innerpeace inhi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?
i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.
the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

They've been saying there is no time left since before 1914.
